How to Reset Fire TV Without a Remote

If you want to factory reset your Fire TV Stick but do not have your Fire Stick TV remote or have simply lost it, then do not worry. You can still factory reset your device without a remote as well. There are actually 3 ways that you can do this.

Option 1: Fire TV App

We already helped you out with how to set-up for Fire Stick TV without your remote using the Fire TV App and how you can pair the Fire TV App and your Fire TV together. Now we are going to tell you to reset your Fire TV using the Fire App. You can follow these easy steps to do so:

1. Go to Settings on your Fire TV App.
2. Then go to My Fire TV. 
3. You will find the “System” option there or the “Device & Software” option.
4. There, find and choose the option “Reset to Factory Defaults”.
5. Then click on “Reset”.

Note: This option will only work for you if your Fire TV is not frozen or you can still navigate through menus.

Option 2: USB Keyboard

A great option to reset your Amazon Fire TV Stick when it’s frozen is to use a USB Keyboard and the Amazon Fire Stick supports most of the USB keyboards and even wireless ones. 

Try to hold the “Escape” and the “Right Arrow” key together for 15 seconds, when your Fire TV is stuck, and it will take you to the factory reset prompt.
